Teaching Style
Emily’s teaching is inspired by her studies in Anusara® yoga. Her class offers strong alignment principles, a heart-felt theme different in each session, and a support environment to open to grace and explore your own divine nature. Classes begin with an exploration of an inspiring theme, meditation, and chanting an invocation. Breathwork technique (pranayama) is incorporated into class. Asana (or the yoga poses) are taught with emphasis on strong alignment principles. Class cools down with forward bends and twists and end in Savasana or relaxation pose.
Please come join us in this joyful, spiritual, creative, and energetic practice.

Emily Yuen’s Bio
Emily was first introduced to yoga in 1996 by Vickie and Jerry Aldridge (Iyengar yoga). Emily was very grateful to have the foundation of Iyengar yoga as she went on to try many other great forms of yoga. Emily has studied with Noah Maze, Karen Sprute-Francovich and Cate Stillman all certified Anusara® yoga teachers. Emily is a certified Anusara-Inspired® yoga teacher.
Emily has been studying Anusara-Inspired® yoga with Brandie Redinger since 2002. Emily was drawn to study Anusara® yoga because of its inspiring heart-felt themes and strong alignment principals unique to this tantric lineage. Because of her studies with Anam Thubten—her Tibetan Buddhist teacher (who also teaches from a tantric lineage)—Anusara was very appealing.
Emily has been studying Traditional Chinese Medicine since 1999. She is a practitioner of Asian Bodywork and started teaching yoga in 2007 as a way to assist more people in their healing journey. She noticed that her body could maintain acupressure treatments longer when she was regularly doing yoga and wished for her clients to experience the same benefits.
Interview with Emily
I vow to teach and honor the place in students seeking to evolve and awaken consciousness.
A student would come to my class when they are seeking to find or strengthen their prefect nature. Those students who are ready to explore their authentic self and use it to awaken and evolve find my class supportive to their inner journey.
I feel the most profound benefit of yoga is its ability to develop, strengthen and increase flexibility not only to the musculoskeletal structure and to the mind but also to the heart and consciousness.
